All surfaces have been polished, highlighting the beautiful natural brass colour. The base is perfectly flat with all edges expertly chamfered. 
 
The raw brass will naturally patina over time as it reacts to the oils in your skin, creating a rich, natural finish. You can polish this out if you would like to return the brass to its original shine.
